Hi there, I’m Roberto.

I am a Computer Vision Engineer @ Smarter Applications Ltd, a multiple award-winning start-up company based in London (UK), whose mission is to create a connected home which goes beyond simply "seeing" objects. One of the key steps towards this goal is to introduce Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and state-of-the-art Computer Vision in the current technology and this is part of my mission.

Broadly speaking, my main research and development interests focus on novel Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Image Processing techniques for innovative and high-impact applications.

Ienjoy working in Windows but also in Linux (Ubuntu), prototyping in MATLAB and Python, although I have also programmed in C++ for a while. I have recently started exploring Deep Learning methods for image segmentation and classification.
