Well hello there! Yes, that is a LARGE picture of me but as we all know a picture says a thousand words. Much like you, my life is surrounded by them - the universal communicator - my long term partner in crime, The Image.

I'm Robert Carbonell, Art Director by trade with a sketchbook and Nikon D3100 that never leave my side. I blended right in during my studies at OCAD University as an Advertising Design Major and Photography Minor. Growing up in a household that spoke three languages however was not as easy. I was taught at a young age to communicate in a way where language barriers could never hold me back. Crayola and a letter-sized paper became my translator, although my need for a translator no longer exists the need to connect with the rest of the world still does. Advertising, the art of communicating is something that I love and have developed through my years of experience in the marketing and advertising field at companies such as Entertainment One (eOne Entertainment), Conde Nast's W Magazine and Canada's FASHION Magazine to name a few. These past experiences have given me the passion and the drive, strengthened my problem solving, learning, story telling and designing skills to take me where I want to be as an Art Director & Designer.

With a thirst for travel and experiencing different cultures, it has allowed me the opportunity to experience working and being exposed to cities allover the world - Toronto, Montreal, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York City, Boston, Bermuda, Belo Horizonte, Rio de Janeiro and Sydney just to name a few with plans to continue.
