roberto lopez is an award-winning writer/director based in the nyc area. his breakout film CRAZYHEADS hit the film festival circuit in the united states, europe and was screened at the mtv video music awards. most recently, his award winning short film LOST BROTHER has played at numerous film festivals and has won several awards.

CHAPANDAZ, a screenplay of a horseman who teaches his young sons his innate ability to train wild horses on the northern steppes of afghanistan advanced at the 2011 sundance writers lab. It was recommended for the 2011 film independent screenwriting lab and made 2nd round for the 2012 austin screenplay competition at the austin film festival.

BAILERINA will mark his feature directorial debut, a romantic tragedy set in the two-dollar dance halls in jackson heights queens.
