As communications lead for VolunteerMatch, the Web's most popular volunteer engagement network, I help make it easier for people to give back. My specialties are social media, public relations, brand strategy, cause engagement and marketing communications.

Before this I helped raise money for important causes, helped build and sell a high-rise building, ran my own consulting firm, survived the dot-com era, and edited publications for a sharp-eyed readership of editors.

I'm a native of Tucson, Ariz., but I live today in the Oakland flatlands.
