Robert Standfast

As Director for Mortgage Banking with The Federal Savings Bank's Long Island division, Robert Standfast has initiated the creation of a new Loan Production Office (LPO). He currently oversees a staff of eight loan originators and four support professionals, and expects to double his banker numbers over the next six months. Driven by the company's philosophy of service, Robert Standfast intends to build a branch focused on service, honesty, and community support.

Over the course of his career, Robert Standfast has managed departments in all areas of mortgage processing. His experience ranges from loan origination to payment collection and includes wholesale lending, escrow disbursement, secondary marketing, and loan servicing. He has created departments in these areas for several leading mortgage companies. Mr. Standfast has also played a key role in implementing new federal regulation compliance systems, including those designed to accommodate the rules required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

Robert Standfast holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York, where he graduated magna cum laude. Since that time, he has lent his talents to a variety of mortgage and banking institutions. Before accepting his current position in June of 2012, Mr. Standfast operated a South Queens branch of United Northern Mortgage Bankers. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Empire State Mortgage Bankers Association and as a member of the Long Island Association of Professional Mortgage Women (LIAPMW).

In his free time, Robert Standfast enjoys playing golf with his many colleagues and associates. A Sunday regular at a Pine Hills establishment in Manorville, New York, he has conducted many business agreements on the golf course. A long time hiker and cyclist as well, he visits Long Island's Green Belt Trails as often as possible.
