Robert Sutton
Robert Sutton relies on more than 40 years of leadership experience with firms such as Centrix Financial, LLC, in his current role as leader of Sutton & Associates. As Principal Owner and founder of the firm, Robert Sutton offers consultation and business development services to several ventures, including Birdie, a company that designs and sells women’s golf apparel, and JobMedian, an online networking service. In addition to his work at Sutton & Associates, Robert Sutton also serves as Chairman of the Auto Finance Group. Prior to establishing his current firm, Sutton acted as Chairman of Universal Special Auto Finance, LLC, a company that provides auto financing services to prime and subprime clients. To ensure the firm’s success, he helped generate more than $50 million in auto loan capital between 2007 and 2008. In 1997, Sutton founded auto financing company Centrix Financial, LLC. Utilizing his already extensive business experience, he developed an innovative business model that enabled the firm to take advantage of changes in the growing auto loan market. Sutton also managed more than 1500 employees and established partnerships with more than 200 financial institutions across the United States. During his tenure with the company, Centrix secured more than 200,000 loans valued at nearly $5 billion, eventually becoming the largest privately owned auto finance firm in the United States. Concurrent with his position at Centrix, he also served as founder and Principal Owner of Sutton International Motorsports, which promoted and operated the Denver Grand Prix in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Robert Sutton began his career as a Brokerage Consultant with Connecticut Life Insurance, where he surpassed national sales records for two years. He went on to become Principal Owner of Sutton Development Corporation, a company he ran for seven years. In 1980, he established TRI-Corp, followed by WK Capital Advisors, LLC, in 1992.
