Robert Torstrup

Robert Torstrup, of Pensacola, Florida, is an electronics technician with 13 years of experience. A Certified Alarm Technician, he is highly skilled at repairing equipment and installing cable, Internet, and home security systems. In addition, Torstrup has earned designation as a Microsoft Certified Professional and Cisco Certified Network Associate, and he possesses certification as a Burglar Alarm Systems Agent and Fire Alarm Systems Agent in Florida and Alabama. Robert Torstrup studied his trade for four years in a New Jersey technical school and honed his skills in networking and computer sciences at Northwest Florida State College.

In 1998, Robert Torstrup joined Eatontown, New Jersey-based Algren Design as an Electronics Technician, where he helped manufacture circuit boards for Lucent (now Alcatel-Lucent), AT&T, and IBM. From 2000 to 2005, he acted as a Broadband Technician for Cox Communications in Florida before returning to New Jersey, where he worked for Comcast, also as a Broadband Technician. One year later, Robert Torstrup returned to Florida, joining Bellsouth Security Systems Protection One in Pensacola and installing alarm systems. He performed similar duties at ADT Security Services/Tek Systems from 2007 to 2008, where he also installed digital video recorders.

Robert Torstrup became an independent subcontractor in 2006, working for such companies as DIRECTV, Comcast, and ADT Security Services. In addition to installing cable, Internet, and security systems, he maintained his own tools, truck, and insurance. He also built and repaired computers and conducted home and vehicle inspections for more than 20 banks and their lenders. In his leisure time, he enjoys coaching T-ball and doing home repairs.
