Robert Vowler is a business advisor and experienced board member based in Pennsylvania. The former CEO of Hershey Trust Company, Vowler spent 12 years spearheading operations that simultaneously strengthened the Hershey brand within its community and carried out the goals of founder Milton S. Hershey, one of the most notable philanthropists of the twentieth century. Before he served as the company's CEO, Robert worked as the CFO of the Hershey Trust for 10 years. Needless to say, Robert was well-versed with the company's ongoings.
During his time as CEO, Robert Vowler was able to propel the Hershey name to even greater heights of success. In his 12 years as CEO, Robert was able to expand the Hershey Trust's asset portfolio by more than $5 billion. He was also able to diversify the company's assets by more than $1 billion.
What's more, Robert was able to utilize his business wit and communications skills to attract top talent to the company. In fact, he was able to refresh and reorganize the entire Board of Directors without any negative stock repercussions.
Robert Vowler now works part-time as a business advisor at an organization that allows him to also serve as an executive coach. Additionally, he is seeking out new opportunities with family offices as well, having led one of the largest and oldest family offices in the country for over a decade.
Outside of his work, Robert Vowler enjoys philanthropy and donating to various charitable causes. He also thoroughly enjoys golfing, football, travel and astronomy.
