Robert Yardwood

Being the excellent communicator that he inherently is, Robert L Yarwood has been able to go about performing his numerous duties in various capacities. Prior to his current post at Kaplan, Inc. as an Instructor in the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), Robert Yarwood was the Associate Dean of Clinical Medicine at the Medical University of the Americas. His various duties in that post included: development and management of the clinical curricula; quality review and liaison with clinical training sites; overseeing of personnel of the clinical department; educational and professional counseling of medical students. A significant contribution from Dr. Yarwood in this post was his unselfish creation and maintenance of a website meant to assist graduates in their residency applications. At M.S. Hershey Medical Center, Dr. Yarwood was an Associate Professor for Obstetrics and Gynecology, a job which he held for 12 years starting 1997. Robert Yarwood's impressive achievements at this stage included: maintaining a full-time clinical practice while teaching students and resident physicians; capably directing curriculum and teaching as Clerkship Director; exceptionally directing outpatient services and liaising for pharmaceutical firms; effectively connecting the department with information technology; decisively leading an in-patient satisfaction team; and efficient liaising for hysteroscopy vendors. In the same period, Robert L Yarwood was also a Medico-Legal Consultant for American Medical Forensic Specialists, Inc. It was in this concurrent position that Robert had to review medical cases for plaintiffs, defendants and criminal attorneys, which subsequently required Robert to provide well-conceived and expertly-written reports. Robert also had to testify in depositions and open court, detailing in professional terms the results of his reviews and thereby educating attorneys on relevant matters.
