Robert Ziebell

Robert Ziebell is a lens-based artist and recently completed an interactive virtual tour that utilized both photography and video in documenting a surrealist garden called LAS POZAS which is located in the rainforest of the Sierra Madre (Oriental) Mountains in Mexico.

His work has been shown and supported by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Contemporary Art Museum, Houston, Zolla Lieberman Gallery in Chicago, Elizabeth Leach Gallery in Portland, OR, the Wexner Center in Columbus, Ohio, the The Andy Warhol Foundation, Austin Film Society's Independent Feature Fund, and the Athens, Ann Arbor, and Florence Film Festivals.

He currently has released an artist’s app based on the surrealist game Exquisite Corpse and a film/video distribution app for the Apple iPad. Two of his early films can be found on the iTunes store.

Ziebell currently splits his time between south Texas and in Michigan’s upper peninsula.
