Rob Garretson

I am a middle school computer elective teacher working at Rancho Cucamonga Middle School in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I have been teaching in this capacity for 12 years and prior to this I taught elementary school for 9 years at Los Amigos Elementary School in the same Cucamonga School District. Although I loved teaching at the elementary level, I have really found a calling to the middle school kids. I hope to stay until I retire, which hopefully will be many years from now.

My current computer classes run from trimester beginning courses through year long advanced classes which creates a print and online video yearbook.

I have been the site technology coordinator at both of the schools in which I have taught continuosly since 1995. I am also on the district technology committee and as well as having served as the technology trainer in the district.

I have earned a MA in Educational Multimedia and a BA in Philosophy from Cal Poly Pomona.

Prior to entering teaching, I was in retail management for 20 years.

I am married to Lynne, a real estate agent and we have one daughter, Jenna who is also an elementary teacher in the Cucamonga School District now working on her doctorate degree.
