I am currently a Senior at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, Atlanta, Georgia. I came to America in 2011 and left a place where I spent 11 years of life - China.

I lived 17 years in this world, but had the experience of living in two totally different areas. This impacted my personal mantra- there are no shortcuts in the endless life journey. This statement reminds me every day in life, that in order to become a successful person, I must always challenge myself at the highest level, instead of constantly relaxing and having fun.

I included three values in life that demonstrate who I am and how they had brought impacts to others- Dependability, Happiness, and Love & Affection. Whenever people are in need of me the most, I tend to do my best to not let them down or put them in ignorance, because I often feel honored when someone counts me to help them and depends on me. Love and Affection defines how I treat others nowadays; I was able to have a loving heart by helping homeless shelters and seeking volunteer activities. I learned to be selfless and willing to affect others in an optimistic way such as comforting when they are hurt. Happiness often helps me stay positive on my daily basis. I believe that having a positive mind would prevent me from any stress, and that I could be mentally clear when dealing with things.

The three strengths that felt most connected to me are Analytical, Learner, and Developer. According to Gallup Strength Finder website stated that most people who are analytical embody the proverb "Still waters run deep", meaning that quiet thinkers think deeper, which totally defines who I am; I often plan out each "to-do" step in order to stay organized and not get behind, as well as spotting important things that other people couldn't. Another strength of mine is learner, because I always desire to discover and learn things that are appealing to me, that I have never experienced before. I usually take advantage of new skills that I believe could affect me in the future. Lastly, I feel connected to the strength of developer because when I was younger, people closest to me taught me essentials to become a wise person in society- hold great responsibilities, being selfless, etc. So now, I'm willing to help others develop in their needs and help them fulfill the knowledges they need. These strengths interpret my identity and gave me a clearer vision of leadership.
