I'm an avid outdoorswoman and writer living in the woods in Maine. I grew up with a fishing pole in my hand. I hunt (grouse, deer, bear, coyote, hopefully moose), fish, kayak, canoe, hike, camp and wild harvest food. My camera is my sidekick. I am a Hook On Fishing - Not On Drugs instructor, and teach camfire cooking and outdoors writing and blogging classes. I publish Maine Nature News. My bi-weekly newspaper column, The Maine Thing, appears in Lancaster Farming.
