Salutations! Recently I settled in Ocean County, New Jersey to be close to family. I have a wonderful job with Meridian Health @ Ocean Medical Center in the Emergency Department. I interact closely w/patients needing crisis intervention. Hopefully, I'll be completing my nursing degree to obtain my R.N. license. My goals include emergency, pediatric, & psychiatric nursing. Perhaps I'll teach at the collegiate level one day. My education includes an Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of Arizona. My studies were English Literature, Philosophy & Communications. My studies @the University of Arizona prepared me for a nursing education by empowering me with research, ethical & effective communication skills. While attending UA I was selected to participate in the Walt Disney World College Program. During this internship I was immersed in Disney Culture and learned effective customer service & management skills. A Disney education is unlike any other. I received a "Mouster's Degree" for business management & a "Ductorate Degree" for perfect attendance from Disney University. Degrees were signed by Micky Mouse & Donald Duck respectively! Disney led to a career in hospitality, hotels & resorts in AZ, NV, NJ & Alaska. My former employers include Baltousrol Country Club, Sheraton El Conquistador Resort, Lowes Ventaña Canyon, Westin La Paloma, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, Renaissance Las Vegas, Harrah's Entertainment at Bally's/Paris Hotels, Delfrisco's Double Eagle @Sullivan's Steak House, & Morton's Steak House of Chicago. Bartender 2003 US Open. Contracted by the NBA as celebrity escort to events during 2007 NBA All Star Game @Mandalay Bay. Assisted in on-site production of 2005 American Idol auditions in Las Vegas. ER employee during Super Storm Sandy. My nursing education began at Apollo College in Las Vegas, NV in 2007. I continued my classes with College of Southern Nevada & attended the Certified Nursing Assistant program there. Volunteering is important to me: Community Service Club @Summit Middle School (founding member), Down's Syndrome Program @Faith Lutheran Church, Sunday School Sitter @St. Theresa's Catholic Church, Disney VoluntEars & Make-A-Wish Foundation @WDW Orlando, Tucson Youth at Risk (founding secretary), NV School of the Blind. My friends & family are gifts. Educated and kind, they dedicate their lives to service within their families & local/global communities.
