How would you describe yourself to others?
I am an introvert. I’m not shy, but I am on the quiet side, and a bit reserved. I am fiercely loyal to those I love, and I will do anything I can for them. I am dependable and honest. I love my family. I am somewhat linear in my thinking, but I can usually see two sides to everything. I am organized and a planner: Chaos drives me nuts!! I am a Meyers/Briggs ISTJ to a “T”! If you’re at all curious, look it up!
How did you get into the Virtual Assistance field?
In 1997, I came across an article on Anastacia Brice and her VA training program at AssistU. I completed the program in 1998-99, and worked my VA business for a short time with one part-time client. But my personal life was a mess and I was not in a place to be able to do it well. Fast forward to 2011, and the longings were stirring again. I contacted Anastacia. Because it had been over 10 years since I’d been associated with AssistU, I was going to need to go through the program again. When the door opened for me to financially be able to participate in the VMP, I walked through and never looked back!
What lessons has your “work life” taught you?
Over the years I have worked with a wide variety of very strong personalities who had very specific and particular work styles. I learned to work well and efficiently with all of them!
