Robin is a senior media/marketing executive who has demonstrated experience in leadership and strategy across both traditional and digital media, having completed her 3 year contract as CEO of Freeview TV Australia in late 2011. Robin joined Magazine Publishers Australia in 2012 as Executive Director, and then moved to Australia's largest Telephone Network, as General Manager, Marketing Operations at Telstra. More recently Robin left her last full time role as COO, NewsLifeMedia (a division of NewsCorp) and launched a consulting firm Karus Consulting.
As the inaugural CEO of Freeview the digital TV platform she has built a brand from conception to 92% consumer brand awareness within 18 months, involved in the launch of 10 new multi-channels, development and launch of a technically complex broadcast electronic program guide (epg), and worked extensively with leading consumer electronic manufacturers to develop synergistic partnerships in the converging media landscape.
With a background from an International creative advertising agency coupled with an MBA in Marketing - Robin understands the opportunities in the emerging landscape for monetisation of content, coupled with a thorough understanding of audiences and research.
Robin is commercially driven and results focused, with a formal training in finance and has extensive experience in new business and acquisition programs, managing budgets, mentoring staff and building client relationships.
