Robinson Crothers is a Financial Advisor and Managing Partner at Great South Bay Advisors, a family-owned wealth management firm located in Holbrook, New York. He has over 10 years of experience working alongside his father, helping clients structure portfolios and plan for long-term financial goals. He received his Finance degree from the Mario Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University, where he also participated in the university’s wrestling team.

Robinson was raised in Patchogue, New York, on Long Island, in a household closely connected to financial advisory services. Through years of collaboration with his father, he gained practical experience in portfolio management, client communication, and long-term Financial Planning. After graduating, he worked as a Consultant in the Institutional Investment space, supporting Pensions, Endowments, and Family Offices in building portfolios that included Private Equity, Hedge Funds, and other Alternative Investments. He later returned to the family firm, adding nearly 10 years of direct involvement in managing client portfolios.

The firm reflects more than 50 years of combined family experience and transitioned from American Portfolios to Great South Bay Advisors in January 2025. As a fiduciary, he follows a client-first approach and guides without proprietary product influence. His work centers on financial planning, retirement income strategies, and long-term investment oversight. He emphasizes managing return sequence risk by balancing equities and fixed-income assets to help reduce the impact of market volatility on retirement income.

Robinson's investment process evaluates dividend-paying stocks alongside growth-oriented companies, with a focus on risk-adjusted returns and capital preservation. In taxable accounts, he incorporates fixed income and municipal bonds. He tracks themes such as industrial innovation, semiconductor equipment, energy production and storage, defense spending, and the expansion of the global middle class, as well as opportunities in developed International Markets.

He utilizes the resources of Pershing (BNY Mellon), which oversees $58 trillion in assets under custody and administration and supports 8 million investor accounts, and works with Osaic to strengthen research and technology capabilities. Outside of work, he supports local arts initiatives, volunteers as a wrestling coach, and plans to marry Gabriela on October 10th, 2026. Robinson Crothers remains committed to serving his clients and community.
