Robin Sutherland
I'm a social entrepreneur, artist, freelance consultant and community organizer based partly out of Toronto and partly out of Northern Ontario.
I aim to bring together diverse areas of study and thought to address the multifaceted challenges we face as a global society through grassroots, community-led projects. I have done work related to literacy, environment, community art, public space, cycling advocacy and youth engagement.
I am currently developing my own Wilderness Retreat social enterprise in Northern Ontario. In my recent role as General Manager for the Arts Network for Children and Youth I oversaw the first ever National Youth Arts Week / Semaine nationale jeunesse-arts.
I hold an Honours BA in Arts Management from the University of Toronto and an MSc in Health, Community and Development from the London School of Economics in London, UK where I received a Distinction for my thesis project on youth-led community art and social change.
I also co-own a remote hike-and-paddle in outpost camp available for rent.
I love yoga, reading, writing stories, tea, and being in the middle of nowhere.
I am ever questioning, always listening, and never satisfied. You talk, I'll listen!
