I've been doing stuff with words for most of my life - professionally since 1994.

I write, edit, play with digital things and generally try to tell great stories wherever I can.

I like to think I can make most things sound and read simpler and more engaging than other people, without losing the message and interest.

Currently I work for Age UK, helping to make the country a better place for older people.

Previously, I've appeared on TV quiz shows, travelled to the Himalayas and Russia, and also interviewed the likes of Leslie Nielsen, Jessica Alba and David Cameron (well, someone had to).

In my spare time, I love reading, listening to music and absorbing new stuff.

Oh, and I like to think I'm a pretty nice fella on top.
