Hi i am Robert Yohoo. I was born in Richmond, Virginia, in 1953 and raised in Kent, Ohio.
I attended Oberlin College for four years and competed in Varsity Wrestling at the Small College National Championships my senior year. After that, I got admitted into one of the best medical schools in the country. I resolved to "discover myself" when I was 22 years old and one year into my medical education. After working on oil drilling rigs in Wyoming, I spent the next year travelling to rock climbing destinations. I trained as a master climber and visited cliffs in twelve different states. I free-climbed classics like Astroman, El Capitan's west face, and Yosemite's Crucifix, reaching a difficulty level of mid-"5.12."
When I returned to medical school in 1978, I discovered that bodybuilding helped me focus on my studies. In the last decade, I've had fewer opportunities to participate in sports. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, though, I competed in 14 triathlons and practised Kempo Karate (though injuries sidelined me). I've done Astanga (flow) Yoga and studied with Frank, a famed 70-year-old master Yogi.
