Founded TerraStar Energy, LLC (a renewable energy company) in 2011 and incorporated in 2012. TerraStar has several different proprietary technologies for processing various kinds of waste (municipal, commercial/industrial, animal/crop, septic) into gas, electricity and liquid fuels.

A serial entrepreneur by nature, previous "careers" include real estate and property development, restaurant ownership, medical office consulting and management, design/build of homes and commercial properties and general contracting, plastics manufacturing and distribution, amongst other things .

A graduate of the Rotman School of Business (Univ. of Toronto, MBA 1985) and an undergraduate degree in Art History and Criticism and Studio Art (Univ. of Western Ontario, BA 1982). Grew up in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Immigrated to North Carolina, USA in 1996.

Two children (Wade, b.1990 and Carly b.1992).
