Despite not having financial support as a result of my family's economic situation, I left my home city at a young age to pursue my dreams. Having being approved in a competitive national scholarship I could choose from hundreds of university courses.
I left home to be the first one to get a university degree in my family. I strongly believe I'm able to contribute by my documentary experience in slums.
"Exotic Tour" was my debut in the professional world of documentary. Directed with some friends of university we beginning a important search documentary field in Brazil. Was recorded in the Favela da Rocinha considered the biggest slum of Brazil provides a different point of view about the tourism on the slums. Award as the better short in the Third PERRO LOCO 2009 Latin American Film Festival.
