Some of Rob's professional achievements include doubling sponsorships and growing revenues 55% in a declining market and produced record earnings growth for 3 years, surpassing financial projections by nearly 30%, generating $66 million in dividends by negotiating global divestitures, and completing$50+ million in acquisitions of player management companies, corporate branding firms, and marketing agencies.
Outside of work, Rob Urbach has a strong passion for sports and fitness. As a junior in high school, he read a Sports Illustrated article on the Ironman Triathlon that would prove to be prescient, both personally and professionally. The essence of this 2.4-mile ocean swim, 112-mile bike, and marathon resonated with his core, and despite not knowing any triathletes or being a cyclist or swimmer, he set a goal of completing this race. Three years later he did exactly that as the second youngest in the event. This also started a lasting practice of both inspiring others, as he not only talked a lifelong friend in joining the journey, but also reaching for more meaning and impact through his physical pursuits. Rob leveraged the event into an early fundraising campaign, raising $12,000 for the American Heart Association in 1982.
