Robyn B. Breland is a strategic communications and program development consultant with more than 15 years of experience supporting nonprofit organizations, community initiatives, and mission-driven leaders. Her work focuses on strengthening organizations through effective public relations, program design, partnership development, and community engagement strategies.
Through her consultancy, Poised Consultancy, LLC, Robyn advises entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and community organizations on building strong brands, developing impactful programs, and executing events and campaigns that expand visibility and community impact. She is known for helping organizations translate big ideas into actionable strategies while cultivating meaningful partnerships and engagement.
Robyn’s professional work has centered on advancing public health initiatives, increasing access to resources for underserved communities, and developing programs that promote equity and inclusion. She has led large-scale initiatives that have served thousands of community members and volunteers, coordinated cross-sector partnerships with healthcare professionals, educational institutions, and community organizations, and supported development efforts that have generated more than $100,000 in funding for community programs.
In addition to her consulting work, Robyn is an active community leader. She currently serves as a Board Member-at-Large for the Mississippi Public Health Association (MPHA) and has been involved with several professional and civic organizations including the Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM), the Southern Public Relations Federation, and the Association for Fundraising Professionals. Her contributions to the field of communications have been recognized with the PR Practitioner of the Year Award from the PRAM.
Robyn holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Mississippi College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Jackson State University, with additional graduate coursework in Strategic Public Relations from George Washington University.
