Rochelle Y. Lewisis the Associate Director of Governmental Relations for Jackson Health System, the largest public health institution in the region. In this role, Rochelle supports the President and CEO in the representation of Jackson Health System and the Public Health Trust on health care issues coming before the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners and other government officials.

Prior to joining Jackson Health System, Rochelle was Director of Alumni Engagement for the University of Miami’s Division of Advancement, responsible for prospect research and the cultivation of potential donors through the development of alumni programs. As coordinator for the University’s largest alumni program, Rochelle managed the fiscal reporting of an $80,000 budget.

Previously, Rochelle served as a Legislative Analyst for the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners, where she advised on the County’s then - $4.2 million budget and multi-year capital plan. In this role, Rochelle conducted research on controversial policies and provided recommendations that led to the creation of regulations affecting the County at large.

Rochelle was honored as one of South Florida’s “Top 40 under 40” in 2012 and was tapped into Omicron Delta Kappa’s National Honor Society in March 2016. Rochelle is a graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration. She is currently an Ed.D candidate in the Organizational Leadership program at Nova Southeastern University.
