Rocío Fuentes-Ortea

London

I have always wanted to be a writer, since I was 5 and wrote my first short tale. I decided to study Journalism for five years at a top university in Spain, worked for radio, TV, newspapers and although the experiences were amazing and taught me how to write in many different formats, I realised that I needed to learn more.

Therefore, 6 years ago I decided to come to London to improve my English skills, to get to know interesting people, to take chances, to break barriers and to make a change.

Already in London, I studied English for 6 months and found an internship to have an excuse to stay in this wonderful country. After that, I found a job at Pearson and studied in the meantime an MA in Publishing at University College London (UCL), one of the most prestigious universities in the world.

Although I work in education for Pearson, I would like to have a more active role in the publishing industry.

I love writing fiction and have written many tales, poems, articles, reports and short novels, and I am in the middle of several editorial projects.

I am really passionate about writing, photography and travelling and I am really looking forward living the next step of my life, which I know it is going to be exciting.
