Engineering, Wind Energy, and Renewable Energy in Germany

When I am not reading about science, things that make me laugh, or some interesting facts (what a combination, isn’t it?), I like to contemplate and enjoy the beauty of life and save my favorite sights in a camera shot.

Being a person who likes to analyze, to think to achieve tangible results, to question behaviors and systems, and challenges over all; I made my mind up and studied one of the most exciting and complete university degrees: mechanical engineering!

In 2011, year I also finished my degree, I started to take my first steps into the engineering world. This time I made it in the HVAC field, as a Junior Design Engineer in one of the best consulting companies in my home country Honduras.

Even though I liked my job, I wanted to learn even more, gain more skills, expand my horizons, and have a real international experience. With that in mind (and some other excuses to travel), I applied for a master’s degree in Renewable Energy in a German University. In 2013 besides getting one of the 30 places in an international master’s program, out of more of 300 applicants, I was also granted with a DAAD scholarship to cover my studies.

After one and a half years of living a duetsches life (and hard work!) I finished my masters. In my near plans I picture myself giving the best of my knowledge, professional and personal experiences. All of it in the field of renewable energies, and specifically in wind energy.

Possibilities are unlimited, and the world is a folded hanky waiting for me to go where opportunities might take me!
