My Background

I grew up in Washington DC, the daughter of a Peruvian mother and American father. Because of my mother's job, we traveled to Peru every two years since the time I was two years old. Experiencing the contrast of both cultures early in life profoundly influenced me and my work. From the time I could hold a pencil, I expressed myself by drawing magical worlds and characters, sometimes on the walls of our house! Realizing my need for creative outlet, my parents enrolled me in art classes. This eventually led to awards and scholarships to Carnegie Mellon where I received by BFA and NYU for my masters degree in Interactive Telecommunications. I have worked as a media arts teacher, film editor and media director. I have continued my artistic practice using traditional media: watercolor and acrylic. My creative spirit led me to California to study and become a teacher of Kundalini yoga.

My Art.

I continue to draw and paint magical worlds filled with archetypes of the divine feminine in relation to the cycles of the moon. I call this work the Moon Faerie series.The Moon Faerie, like the creative spirit in all of us, dances in her sacred landscapes, among healing plants and magical crystals, telling a story of personal transformation and self-empowerment. She appears before you triumphant, powerful and wise, guiding you on your own healing journey into the depths of the creative psyche.

I fill many sketchbooks recording moments in the world around me that are the source and inspiration of my work. I am profoundly inspired by the sacred landscapes of mother earth—her deserts, mountains, forests, and oceans. For me drawing and painting plants is a meditation in which I am infused with their essence. I believe in the consciousness expanding wisdom of plants and the powerful healing energies of crystals. My totem animal, the butterfly, appears in most of my paintings.

Yoga, Flower Essences and Healing Ceremony

I serve others on their creative journey by suggesting Kundalini kriyas and flower essence combinations. I also offer healing rituals with crystals & flower essences to open channels to divine inspiration. I tune these rituals with the cosmic cycles of the new and full moon. Setting sacred personal intentions when the moon is new, and recharging when she is full, invokes swift and powerful manifestation and opens the door to real creativity in your life.
