Rocky Lane

My name is Rocky "Therockyverse" Lane and I am a local Austin singer-songwriter, musician, performer and activist. My relationship with music is defined by my overwhelming desire to use it to inspire, ignite, and empower. I am currently working on a party with a purpose business model that encourages artists to look beyond the boundaries of transient industry "fame", and instead use their talents to create history in their own communities.

The concept of using music and art to influence change and break new ground is not a new one, but I have found that it poorly translates within the ears of an aspiring generation of "creatives" that are desperately seeking that elusive golden ticket. I aim to identify the musicians and artists that are seeking more in their careers than a chance encounter and brief flicker of fickle popular success. I am searching for artists that have a message. I work through collaboration and harness the power of my network to develop artists with an organic and customized strategy of DIY and evolving education and research.

History has taught us that when creative minded people combine their ideas and push toward a common goal, magic happens. There is a huge gap between being talented and building a successful business. It has been my experience that sometimes you have to live in the grey and focus on redefining your definition of success and your definition of purpose. if you are searching for a few pieces to your puzzle, we should have a conversation.
