Born and raised in Denver, I studied Language and Literature at Sterling College in Kansas, served as a church volunteer for a year in Belfast, Northern Ireland, then worked for the YMCA in Kansas City for two years before attending seminary in New Jersey. I'm ordained in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and have served churches in Kansas City, California, and, now, Chicago.
