Rodney Rodchata

Hi, I'm Rodney Aquino, but most people in the dance world know me as Rodchata.

I've been dancing for over 35 years, and what started as a passion eventually became my life's work. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to teach Latin dance in 355 cities across 55 countries, mentor thousands of students, produce events, and build lifelong friendships through the universal language of dance.

Outside of dance, I've worn many hats throughout my life—as a psychologist, entrepreneur, teacher, producer, DJ, and mentor. But more than anything, I'm simply a student of life. Like everyone else, I've experienced both incredible triumphs and difficult setbacks. Those experiences have taught me resilience, gratitude, humility, and the importance of appreciating the people who walk beside us throughout our journey.

I truly believe that life is meant to be lived fully and celebrated daily. We don't always get to choose the challenges we face, but we can choose how we respond to them. For me, that means continuing to dance, continuing to learn, continuing to love, and continuing to give back whenever I can.

Every person I've met has taught me something valuable, and every chapter of my life—good or bad—has helped shape who I am today.
