Entrepreneur/Clinical Data Scientist and researcher in San Francisco, California

I am passionate about improving people's lives at the junctures of machine learning and global health. Causes of disease are often only a sparse picture of diagnostic images and electronic patient data. This sparse picture is a small data window and small percentage of what makes us sick or healthy.

I'm the founder of Acesio Inc. a machine learning and healthcare company. By bringing together machine learning, behavioral science, data science, design and great people we are opening up this data driven picture of what makes us sick and what makes us healthy across behavior, environment and biology.

I received my Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins and am a graduate of CalArts. One of my key interests is to also continue my work in film, media and installation and to incorporate this work across my machine learning engagements. It seems to me we are at a new moment in which art, computer vision, design and machine learning have the potential to bring together new forms of consciousness and new ways of seeing in ways we have yet explored. Design ideas are exploding and it seems a great time for innovation, discussion and collaboration. I'm interested in building programmable environments, autonomous agents, fractals, video and generative art.
