Author of SO YOU MIGHT BE A VAMPIRE and working on his second novel in the Chasing the Sun series MORE THAN HUMAN.

Director and Cinematographer based in Toronto with a huge focus on short films, feature length films and webseries. Most recently involved with DOMINION, CASTERS and the upcoming OUT OF TIME.

Born in Barbados in 1974. Loved books and art from a young age (read A Midsummer's Night Dream at the age of 8, and started on Stephen King novels by the age of 10). Always a writer, illustrator and artist, studied Graphic Design and Fine Art at the Barbados Community College (Associate's Degree), but also studied Law and Politics.

Started writing screenplays at 17 and hasn't stopped since then. In 1999 Smith moved the USA to work as a Web Developer in San Francisco, while still honing screenwriting skills. He started producing films in 2002 after moving to Houston, TX after working in different crew positions on a collection of short films and feature films. In 2004 he moved to Atlanta to work on the television series MEET THE PRODUCTS.

Smith moved to Toronto in 2009, commuting between Brooklyn NY and Toronto for 2 years while working on a number of webseries. DOMINION and the critically acclaimed CASTERS.

He is one of the founding members of the IWCC (Independent Webseries Creators of Canada) and T.O. Webfest. Smith also works with CaribbeanTales International Film Festival, which is now in its 14th year. His webseries have been nominated for awards at various festivals.

In 2018, Smith published his first novel, the comedic SO I MIGHT BE A VAMPIRE with Lost Bajan Books and his second novel THE CANEFIELD KILLER was won the Watty Award from Wattpad.com. He is currently at work on his third novel SO I'M A VAMPIRE... NOW WHAT?

Currently resides in Toronto with his wife and 2 children.
