Rod Searl

Rod is head of Crutes' litigation department. He deals with the defence of local authority and police authority claims, specialising in employers' liability, public liability and road traffic accidents.

Rod also represents many public and private sector organisations in the defence of Health and Safety prosecutions. He has previously been involved in the defence of 15 seperate Health & Safety Executive and Environment Agency prosecutions, three involving fatalities.

He is the regional Chair of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) and a member of the full committee of FOIL. He is an affiliated member of the Association of Local Authority Risk Managers and regularly lectures on risk management, claims handling and pre action protocol having responsibility for many Local Authority training programmes.
