Rod Richardson

Born Rodriques Antoinne Richardson in Tuskegee, Al, is the only child born to parents Emma Richardson, a nurse and Harold Jackson, a Vietnam Veteran.

An elementary school play at the age of 5 opened up the world of acting to young Rod. It was his lead role as Senor' Don Gato (A domestic cat is about to marry his true love, falls off a roof & dies But later is revived by the smell of fish from a fish market). Although he was somewhat shy growing up, Rod had an unexplainable desire to perform. "Something clicked. It felt scary, yet exciting being on stage in front of people".

During his junior and senior years at Robert E. Lee High school, Richardson was involved in a number theatrical productions & class called Family Living, unknowingly to Richardson, the family living class ended up being very similar to his theatre class with its many improvisational scenarios & skits. " It was like the acting thing was all around me."

After graduating high school, acting seemed to be far-fetched for the 18 year old, receiving a band scholarship he enrolled in Communications/Journalism at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Al. After a couple of years, Richardson was bu
