Dr Rodric Weiland
Dr Rod Weiland is a Chiropractor based in Adelaide, SA.
He previously served as the founder, owner and Clinical Director of one of Australia's largest chiropractic clinics, and one of the first multidisciplinary clinics in Australia - Active Back Care in the beautiful Hills District of Sydney.
Dr Weiland has over 35 years clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of spinal disorders. His special interests includes the diagnosis and management of headaches, the management of postural syndromes and sports injuries.
He recently sold Active Back Care to move back to Adelaide to be closer to his family, starting a new clinic in Adelaide called called The Adelaide Disc Center. The focus in this new clinic is on non-surgical spinal decompression, using the latest advances in this field. Based on his many years of experience, as well as his work with elite Australian athletes and the Australian national ice hockey teams, Dr Weiland has developed a matrix of therapies that can help provide relief for these difficult cases. He recently traveled overseas to completed advanced training in non-surgical spinal decompression in Dallas, USA. He was the only chiropractor from Australia to complete this training.
Many of his patients at The Adelaide Disc Center have had marked low back pain, often with pain, numbness, tingling or a burning sensation extending into the lower back, buttock, upper thigh or legs for many years. Most have tried multiple clinical approaches and therapies, such as traditional medicine and pharmaceuticals, massage, chiropractic and physiotherapy without relief. For many of these patients, the only remaining option is spinal surgery.
Dr. Weiland is dedicated to providing solutions for patients who have struggled to find relief elsewhere. By combining state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care, he empowers his patients to regain control of their health, without invasive surgery. His unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation continues to transform lives, one patient at a time, helping them return to doing what they love most—pain-free.
On a personal level, Rod enjoys spending time with his son Nicholas, helping him as he works his way thru the Chiropractic course at the Australian Chiropractic College in Adelaide.
His main interests away from The Adelaide Disc Center are classic VW cars (anything pre '67) and the most challenging sport on Earth: Ice Hockey!
