Roel Sarmago's passion is to empower individuals with the right knowledge, tools and inspiration to take action towards achieving their financial dreams.

Roel's passions are reflected in the roles he plays as author of the book The Wealth Deception: 7 Personal Finance Myths BUSTED... and What to Do About Them, Financial Coach and licenced Mortgage Agent. Roel is also a Property Management Consultant with Valorton Management Inc., a specialized firm that manages real estate assets for, and with, its investment partners.

On several occasions, Roel has been invited to speak at the Schulich School of Business at York University and at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus' Investment Society and Management & Economics Students' Association.

Roel possesses the Certified Financial Planner designation - the highest designation in the financial planning industry - and has been quoted in MoneySense Magazine (How to prepare for a new baby. 2011. MoneySense. November). Roel was recently inducted into the Self Made List (www.SelfMadeList.com) and Worldwide Who's Who list (www.WorldwideWhosWho.com).

During his tenure of over 8 years with one of Canada's largest financial planning firms, Roel was a multi-award winning Division Director. His highest achievement was ranking third amongst a peer group of over 400 Division Directors nationwide. As a result, Roel was invited to attend the President's Round Table Elite conference in Tokyo, Japan. When Roel resigned in good standing, his Division's assets under management exceeded $70 million.
