Friendly and approachable, caring and mature, I am happiest when serving others; believing courtesy and a willingness to help are important in any situation and essential in customer service. I have always got an empathetic ear and time to listen.

I have worked in the technical, educational and care sectors; usually in a supportive role, using personal qualities of patience and tolerance. Though I can be quiet and maybe not always the "life and soul of the party", I need to be part of a team and have the buzz of other people around me. I have recently started volunteering at a diner for the needy.

A creative, practical person, arty rather than sporty, using photography, model-making and DIY to satisfy my artistic and creative inclinations, through DIY projects at home, handyman work for others, railway modelling and stage set design and building with local amateur dramatics group - as in the photo.

I am a good written and oral communicator, especially when on the 'phone. I prefer to work in a quiet, methodical way, paying attention to detail, to see a job through to a successful conclusion and I am especially driven when the job is for someone other than myself.

I've still got a lot of the world to see and a lot of people to meet and I intend to do something about it but home is where the heart is and there I have a wife and teenage daughter... and three hens.
