I am a Social Investor and an Afropreneur (an entrepreneur with an African focus). I’m the Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager of The Maraville Group, a privately held social investment management firm principally focused on driving the African Renaissance. I am a forward focused and thoughtful leader, dedicated to leveraging my unique blend of background, experience and perspective to harness opportunities in order to create value and wealth in Africa. My aspiration is to contribute to the African growth story by building sustainable and scalable enterprises that support the broad socioeconomic transformation of Africa. I envision achieving this aspiration by influencing and shaping the way we think about Africa: its opportunities, its rise, its renewal and its renaissance. My background includes significant and diverse experience of increasing responsibilities providing leadership and financial management for strategic business decisions and investment optimization initiatives (Johnson & Johnson); and proven success in creating high growth and scalable business solutions (Jamhuri Market LLC and The Maraville Group). I also have a solid background in developing and nurturing the next generation of leaders by providing young people with a vision of success through empowerment, mentorship and coaching (KAYI and YLDP). I hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance from New Jersey City University and am a graduate of the prestigious J&J; Finance Leadership Development Program. I am also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). I have well established social and business networks in the USA, Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. I consider my Faith, Family and Friends to be the most blessings in my life. I like being challenged physically and mentally; it's why I'm an avid reader, enjoy golfing, playing chess. I also enjoy watching football (soccer). I appreciate a good conversation, as well as engaging in meaningful debates and value-added social exchanges of ideas. I speak 4 languages and am currently working on my 5th. I'm still a work of art as the story of my life is incomplete. I'm on a journey to make a difference and leave an indelible mark in society.
