Emmy Nominated Composer, Roger Bellon, recently conducted the London Symphony Orchestra at famed Abbey Road Studios for his score to IRON CROSS, actor Roy Scheider's last movie and his latest feature film, 186 DOLLARS TO FREEDOM, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival also winning Best Director - Houston Worldfest Film Festival and Best Picture/Best Actor - Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival.
Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, Roger attended The Berklee College of Music, Boston, where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition and completed post-graduate studies in composition and conducting at The École Normale de Musique, Paris.
He has scored over three hundred television episodes including the cult series HIGHLANDER-THE SERIES, and numerous award winning television movies and mini-series, including Mario Puzo's Emmy nominated, THE LAST DON.
A lover of theater he composed the score to OPEN HOUSE, his fifth collaboration with play write Shem Bitterman and director Steve Zuckerman. OPEN HOUSE, is currently running at the Skylight Theatre, Los Angeles. He recently created the score to Shakespeare's JULIUS CAESAR (O! OVATION RECOMMENDED-LA Stage Alliance), for director Jack Stehlin at the McCadden Place Theatre in Hollywood and for Shakespeare's A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, also for Jack Stehlin and the New American Theatre at the Odyssey Theatre, Los Angeles.
He received an Emmy Nomination for his score to the television movie FRANKENSTEIN. Currently, Roger is completing his second opera, ILIOS, based on Homer's THE ILIAD.
