I have 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. I am currently VP of Design Methodology at Wave Computing which is building a family of deep learning computers. I have held several executive roles in the EDA industry including CTO of Javelin Design Automation which allowed architectural exploration of 3D stacked silicon and VP of Strategic Technology at Magma Design Automation. My design experience includes managing physical design in ethernet switching at Broadcom, microprocessor design at Chromatic Research, and circuit design at Xilinx. I hold over 10 filed or issued patents. I also enjoy sailing, bicycling, kitesurfing, skiing, and the game of Go or WeiQi.
