Roger Copeland

I am, a "nerd". Yes, I'm one of those deep thinking, math using, software programming, exasperatingly logical people, but ya know what, I'm good with that.

I am very much into science; primarily because it works better than any other method for getting down to objective truth, it's always pushing the envelope of the "unknown" and enabling humans to move forward into a sustainable future, which is not our current trajectory.

I think for a living. I analyze systems; environmental systems, economic systems, business systems, computer systems. I define and develop solutions to fix what's broken within and around organizations, processes, and the ways people make decisions. In other words, I create new and/or better working things from older broken things. That's what I really like to do. Solve the hard problems. I'm not here to become a gazillionaire, rip everybody I can off, and destroy the planet. I'm all about "sustainability", not just for me and my family, but for everybody on the planet.

I do other things too; though. I'm an artist, a jazz musician/song writer/composer, a photographer, an outdoorsman. I love to go places where there aren't any people to camp, climb, bike, kayak, and just sit on a rock on top of a mountain and be awed by everything; from microbes to stars.

I'm an explorer, an adventurer, a "futurist", a dreamer. I know, without a doubt that we have the means to solve all of the problems that now challenge us; as long as we don't waste any more time by believing things that aren't true and/or listening to people who are at best misinformed or ignorant or at worst sociopathic.

I exist to create a better world where everybody has what they need to live a safe, free, heatlhy, comfortable life.

Oh, one more thing. I want to go to Mars. But I would like to come back, thank you very much!
