Rogério Ângelo
Teacher, Father, and Chef in Uberlândia, Brasil
I'm Brazilian, I was born in 1988 in a small town called Ituiutaba, in the Southeast of Brazil. I was a very smart kid, but my Mom was smarter than me, so I could almost never get away with the bad things I did. In December 2001 I moved to Uberlândia, to live with my aunt and uncle, it was very good to me. By the time I finished high school I had already finished my English course, so I started teaching English when I was 17. In January 2007 I was admitted for Literature and Languages in the Federal University of Uberlândia. From Dec. 23, 2007 to Jan. 23, 2008 I, together with two co-workers (Márcio and Alex) and my girlfriend (for a year already then) Ivana, went backpacking to Bolivia, Peru and Chile, it was an unforgettable trip, I learned a lot from these trhee coutries' culture. In July 2009 I was chosen for an exchange program, so I was an exchange student in France from August 2009 to June 2010. When in France I studied English at the University Paul Verlaine, in the city of Metz, which is a town in Northeastern France, almost in the border with Germany and Luxembourg. I made a lot of friends in Metz, and I learned a lot from the teachers there. While in Europe I traveled a lot, and I just loved being in London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Munich, Venice, Rome, Paris, and all the other cities I've been to, each one has impressed me in a different way. When I came back to Brazil I continued my course here in Uberlândia, and I graduated in December 2011.
In January 2012 I got married to Ivana, and in February 2012 I started working as a Portuguese language teacher in ESEBA, a federal school, here in Uberlândia.
Currently I teach English at Escola da Criança, in Uberlândia and I work as a Portuguese teacher at Gabarito, in Uberlândia and Itumbiara.
My baby girl Clarice was born in March 2016.
