Roger Powell, Ph.D.

After a long career in IT, I completed my Ph.D. and now I'm teaching Computer Science and Information Technology courses at a Community College.

I am a USAF veteran and the faculty advisor for the San Bernardino Valley College Veterans Club.

I am created a program in Information Security and Cyber Defense and now I'm leading the effort to get the program certified by the US Department of Homeland Security. I also coach the San Bernardino Valley College National Cyber League and Collegiate Cyber Defense Teams.

My research focuses on the impact that ordinary people have on Organizational Information Security efforts.

I provide personal information security presentations for educators, parents, service clubs, civic , and community organizations.

I am the President of Roger Powell COnsulting, LLC.

I have provided E-Rate consulting services to K-12 School Districts for many years. I am available for E-Rate consulting, general IT consulting, and Information Security consulting.
