Roger Romero

Roger Romero is a Los Angeles based music producer specializing in electronic music.

Born and raised in LA, Romero was brought up with a diverse taste in music and culture.

Falling in love with music genres like Drum N' Bass, Psytrance, Industrial, Ebm, Death/Black Metal, Doom, Idm and Trip hop among others like Hardstyle, Hardcore and Trance he decided to have his go at making the very sounds that inspired everything in his life.

Starting at the age of 15 he began composing industrial and breakbeat music later on moving into more complex genres like psytrance and drum n bass.

Working freelance as a ghost producer and music production tutor he gained new insights and worked with several talented individuals gaining new friendships and develpoing professional relationships.

Among those friendships came a new project which led to the production of the ''black box'' (2011) and ''white noise'' (2012) Ep's released under the Scott Kid name. The sound was described as being highly influenced by genre's like Trip hop, R&b as well as Hip hop and Dubstep. Blogs like Loud & Sick even began praising it as part of the new Art N' B movement that has recently spawned which includes artist's like The Weeknd, Frank Ocean, James blake and JMSN.

During this downtempo journey Romero began collaborating with old friend jordan mekano. Having produced a quantity of tracks together ranging in many different electronic styles Romero and Mekano decided to form ''Falling Skies''.

Falling Skies was to become the most diverse and heavy output from Romero, Composed of many different influences including Drum n Bass, Industrial and Breaks.

In April of 2012 Falling Skies teamed up with band Dawn Of Ashes and decided to create a fully independent release of which would be a split of the Metal/Industrial and Drum n Bass Genre's. Romero was asked to assist with guitar tracks for Dawn Of Ashes as well as Mixing and Mastering for the Ep. In May of 2012 ''Hollywood Made In Gehenna'' was released on bandcamp and has been hailed with great response from websites like FEAR.net and Brutal Resonance. Hollywood made in gehenna is described as a ''science fiction/horror double feature'' and ''a split digital album comprised of nine corrosive cuts''.

In June of 2012 Falling Skies and Dawn of ashes embarked on a 3 day mini tour in mexico to promote their release.
