Roger Swinburn

Born and raised in south-east England, university in Liverpool. I began work for Unilever in London in the early 80's as Margaret Thatcher was transforming the British economy. At 26 I started began a three year stint in Kenya growing sunflower and oilseed rape in a Unilever joint venture with the CDC & IFC. Thence to Ireland as Commercial Director.

1991 to Hungary as General Manager for DHL, a real step in the dark. Four years with DHL followed by three with Hasbro selling toys & games throughout CEE.

Finally, in 1998, I quit the corporate life. 20 years in the region, a wide variety of jobs and companies and experience in four countries prepared me well for the Executive Search business which I established and which became my life for the next 14 years. We worked throughout the region and I enjoyed the travel and becoming a 'temporary expert' in many of the varied industries we served.

In August 2013 I purchased a large, 15 bedroom, Victorian mansion in King`s Lynn. We offer Bed & Breakfast to professionals and tourists alike. The building is 125 years old and in need of renovation which will be done in stages.
