Rogier Paul van Beeck Calkoen

Award winning Filmmaker from The Netherlands.

Studied at the Film School in Prague, New York and Florence. During film school he directed the Documentary "The Puppet Masters". His short films are about the communication between cultures, love and suspense. After that he worked in America as Director of Photography on "Johnny Goner" and "Heart Attack". Back in Holland he worked on the political desk of the National Broadcast Authority (NOS). First as reporter and later as multi-cam director on a live news cast of congressional candidates during political campaigns.

In november 2010 he started to collaboration with screenwriter James Bonnet on the political thriller "State of Mind". And in November 2011 he directed the Historical Documentary The Storykeeper that will be premiered in Summer 2012.
