Rohan Butani

Hey, I'm Rohan. I'm a rising Junior at Pierrepont School and I have an interest in technology. I have been learning Java for four years and recently completed the Computer Science AP. Other APs that I have taken include American History and Biology. Currently, I am preparing for my SATs and have completed both the Biology and American History subject tests.

My curiosity in Technology stems from having taken Java in school for the past four years, building my own gaming computer, and being an active team member of the video game puppetry group called EK Theatre at my school.

For fun I enjoy Taekwondo and playing the bass. I have practiced taekwondo for ten years and over the course of that time I have achieved a third degree black belt along with multiple medals at the national level. I play classical and jazz music on my bass.

In terms of volunteer work I helped teach classes at my local taekwondo studio. In addition, I traveled with my Video Game Puppetry Team to schools where we educated students, who had never read classical literature, about Ancient Roman stories through a video game medium.
