Rohit Bhasi

I prefer to think myself as a creative individual, my creativity extending not just to the paintings, sketches, and murals I do, but also to the offbeat observations on the world and people around that make my life interesting and worth living (which of course reflects in my paintings and other avenues of self expression). Job - I am currently working in the digital marketing division for IBM India Ltd in Bangalore. Growing up in various cities around India, i have been exposed to a variety of cultures and environments which have given me a penchant for travel, discovery, unbridled curiosity, and cuisines; but unfortunately have done little for my linguistic abilities. With apologies to all those concerned, I can barely speak Malayalam properly, i assume i can understand Kannada and Telugu, and converse manageably in Tamil, English, and just about the various dialects of Hindi to which I have been exposed throughout my formative years. Traveling is a passion, others being books, movies (all languages and genres), music (again all cultures and genres, except maybe hard rock and metal), dogs, and photography. Not exactly fanatically religious, as in i won't be seen going off on pilgrimages and head tonsuring rituals just because it's what a 'good' hindu does. Just that i believe in connecting with the supreme power within oneself rather than looking for it outside.
