Many would consider Roi’yal to be your next “favorite rapper”. His sincere and powerful lyrics touch the hearts of many. Roi’yal is the kind of artist that tells a familiar story. Roi’yal’s career began in Queens, New York where he grew up amongst some of hip hop’s greatest contenders. He began rapping at the age of 12 and by the time he was 17 he had recorded his first songs. Roi’yal first took the stage in 2003, the crowd was amazed by his high energy and excellent delivery. In 2004, Roi’yal put out his first mixtape “On My Way Home” Vol. 1 ; the mixtape had great feedback from his peers and instantly became a neighborhood favorite. Roi’yal has worked with and opened for Juelz Sanatana, K. Dot, Zoe Pound, Isaiah, Davey D, and Boulevard Benny. Growing up, Roi’yal faced financial and personal hardships and decided to join the US Air Force in 2008. He recently returned from Afghanistan where he faced some of his most difficult days. Roi’yal says, “Music was my therapy over there, my form of release.” Only days off the plane, Roi’yal was back on stage and in the studio recording the music he wrote while deployed to Afghanistan. Roi’yal is clearly destined to be one of the most influential artists of all time.
